To the Discotheque

Jessie was in awe of Paisley patterns and wanted to create an artwork that has more details. 'To the Discotheque' is thus born as a result of curiosity and craving to improve her techniques. Deviating from her usual illustrations, the neon colours contrast with the deep blue background, creating a glowing effect. Despite its experimental vibe, this digital art piece resonates with her strong view towards protecting Mother Nature. Sea creatures dominate the canvas to symbolise a call to action for aquamarine conservation. These bioluminescent organisms live deep in the ocean. Being out of our sight could mean out of our minds. As we mindlessly dispose of non-biodegradable objects into the ocean, we are disturbing their ecosystems. Thence, having these creatures swimming all over the canvas will be a constant reminder for humans to preserve marine life.
