Calling all independent local fine artists, I'm organising an independent group art exhibition, application closing on 1st July 2021. Pleasantly surprisingly, we already have 20 applicants on our list! Whether you're self-taught, emerging, full-time, or undergraduate, you are welcome to join us. Correct me if I'm wrong; most galleries do not pay artists for art exhibitions. In some cases, artists have to pay an upfront fee to hold exhibitions. Without financial stability, how are we going to continue doing what we love? In this self-hosted exhibition, each artist will not only earn money via sales of their original works and merchandises, but also royalties from ticket sales. Feel free to disagree with me; I believe that artists deserve to be paid for exhibiting their works. However, this is not a revenge-based movement or war against gallerists, but a harmonious collaboration to increase accessibility of fine art among the community. Also, this is not a get-rich-quick scheme and our gross profit depends on our teamwork. Being a former educator, I enjoy seeing people succeed, so this exhibition will be extremely satisfying when we witness more and more artists gain visibility and better future job prospects. As mentioned on the job posting, I'm currently running 3 projects and I'm not good at multi-tasking, so I'm only going to start scheduling interviews with applicants after 8th June 2021. You'll only be contacted to fill in a Google Form upon submitting the requirement documents. Of course, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'll be happy to help.
